Ingenious tricks to make after-meal cleanups a snap
Great idea!
Have a garbage strategy.
We recommend having two garbage receptacles within a few feet of you at all times--one for food scraps and peels that can go into the compost pile and another that is for plastic and paper garbage. If that means having some portable, plastic garbage bins floating around the kitchen while cooking, fine! But whatever you do, get garbage into its place within seconds of it being created.
Great idea!
Be a diligent parent.
When children eat, food often ends up on the table, chair, or floor. That's why it's important to communicate a consistent message to your children: Sit up straight, eat over your plate, take reasonable amounts of food in your mouth, and eat as if you are at a table with guests. These are basic rules of etiquette that minimize meal mess!
